Central is seeking a Social Media Coordinator.
Job Goal: To create and dispense social media content for Central OEA/NEA members and public relations Job Summary: The Social Media Communication Coordinator shall work with the President and Member Communication Committee to create and dispense social media content in various platforms to highlight and communicate the work of the Association to members and the general public Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Social Media Communication Coordinator is responsible for assisting the President and Member Communication Committee in each of the following areas:
· Communicating Association events (will require attending some events in the evenings or weekends)
· Creating original content that engages members
· Monitoring the various social media platforms for interactions with users
· Tracks member interaction on the various social media platforms
Report To: President and Member Communications Committee Term of Employment: 1 Year Stipend: $1,500 Annually and payable in August

Central is offering Association Leaders and Building/Faculty Reps in-person training on June 10th at the Central office (2760 Airport Dr. Suite 120B. Columbus OH 43219).
Association Rep Training
9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
This training will cover the role of being a rep, communicating with members and administration, and representing members in difficult meetings. Jay Riggs (CAR Leadership Council) will work with new(er) reps to prepare them for this important role in the association. Local officers welcome to attend
President's Training/Local Leader Think Tank
12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
This training for local officers will include the nuts and bolts of the OEA President's manual including election procedures, Constitution & ByLaws compliance, the OEA Local Development Tool, the grant application process, engaging your members, and more. It will also allow time for networking and sharing of best practices among locals. Open to new and experienced presidents and other officers with the hope that we will learn from each other. Attending this training is one of the qualifying events for Central's Local Participation Award Program.

A panel of adults of various ethnicities will share their experience and explain the hurdles and barriers they face as a parent or community. There will be time for Q&A during this Forum.
