Central Seeking Host Sites for In-service Workshops
Request for Proposals to Host a Central IPD In-service
The Central Instruction and Professional Development Committee is expanding the scope of its in-service offerings to Central members. In addition to the traditional array of in-service activities offered on Central Day, IPD will be sponsoring workshops and training sessions throughout the year. Moreover, IPD intends to make the offerings available in all the areas of Central OEA/NEA.
To implement this new initiative, Central will need sites for workshops and training sessions. Consequently, IPD is officially requesting proposals to host in-service sessions.
Basically, Central will arrange for a workshop presentation or presentations to hold on your chosen site. Further, Central will advertise the session and setup online registration for the participants.
Your local association will arrange for a room or rooms in a facility of your choosing. This may be a school building, a church, a community center or the like. On the day of the event you will need to setup a registration table to welcome the participants. Central will provide you with materials to handle registration at the event, including sign-in sheets and name badges. If a continental breakfast or box lunch is requested by Central, you will need to coordinate the ordering and pickup of the refreshments locally. Central will pay for the food expenses and other approved expenses.
For your association’s services, Central will make monetary grants on the following basis directly to your association:
One session (equaling 60 to 90 minutes in duration)- $100.00 for a single workshop session;
- $25 each, for up to two (2) additional concurrent workshops during the given session time frame;
- Maximum = $150.00
- $150.00 for 2 consecutive workshop sessions;
- $25 each, for up to four (4) additional workshops during the (2) given session time frames;
- Maximum = $250.00
- $200.00 for 3 consecutive workshop sessions;
- $25 each, for up to six (6) additional workshops during the (3) given session time frames;
- Maximum = $350.00

Completion of the application will place your association in a pool of available sites for this program expansion. At this time it is not known which workshop events Central will be scheduling nor on what dates the committee intends to schedule events.
